Discover the skills needed to master a lightening quick carbon fiber formula race car under the guidance of some of the best instructors in the industry.
During this unforgettable full day driving session, you'll be guided by former Formula One driver, Allen Berg, an industry veteran with 25 years racing experience and a history of wins against some of the sport's biggest heroes including Ayrton Senna and Martin Brundle. You'll be driving the same cars that compete on the international circuit and enjoy a whole afternoon of lapping sessions on a challenging 2.23 mile road course at Mazda Laguna Seca Raceway.
Your day begins with an orientation session during which you'll be shown the skills you need to master a 5-speed-sequential-shifting, state-of-the-art formula car capable of 0-60mph in just over a second. Next up it's time to head track side, where you'll be fitted with your six point racing harness, ready to put your theory into action.
The day is divided between driving sessions and de-briefings, where you'll analyze data gathered using the latest MoTeC data systems. You'll be able to critique your driving just like the professionals and will be amazed at how your confidence and ability improves throughout the day.
Whether you're a budding racing champion or just curious to slide into the cockpit of a real formula racing car, this full day driving experience at Mazda Laguna Seca will provide you with enough driving time to really achieve your potential.
You'll be driving formula race cars that are the same as those used in international competition. Each carbon composite formula racecar is outfitted with a MoTeC Data Acquisition system and Go-Pro Onboard Video Camera. Running on Hankook Racing Slicks with five speed sequential racing gearboxes, these cars are capable of 0-60 MPH in 4 seconds, pulling up to 2 G's in the corners and braking. Cars are surprisingly roomy and can accommodate students from under 150 cm (5') to 200 cm (6'7").
You'll enjoy instruction from a former F1 racer and receive feedback from a team of professional race engineers. This is the only racing event to employ Formula One style MoTeC data acquisition technology on all of its racecars, the same data systems used by teams in the Indy Racing League, ALMS and at the legendary Indianapolis 500
