This eight mile New York hike takes you deep into the Catskills Mountains to see beautiful Kaaterskill Falls. Climb from the Hudson Valley to a total elevation of 3,000 feet. At the end of your hike, you'll have the chance to climb Kaaterskill Falls, the largest two tiered waterfall of New York.
Covering eight total miles with plenty of elevation changes, this hike presents a real challenge. You'll scramble up and down slopes seeking purchase on loose shale and dirt. The challenge is well worth the view!
This hiking advenutre departs from New York City from the Upper West Side. Transportation to and from the trailhead is provided. Bring a light lunch and plenty of water in a backpack. Wear seasonally appropriate outdoor gear. This climb offers an intense workout and a chance to climb the 260 foot height of Kaaterskill Falls.
