Open Water Diver courses typically take place during a two week schedule of evening or weekend classes.

Diving is a physically active sport and not suitable for everyone including, but not limited to, those who are pregnant, have heart or chest conditions, suffer from seizures, epilepsy and are taking certain medications. Before taking your first dive, you should consult your physician.

Open Water Diver courses take place on regular pre-selected dates throughout the year.

SSI's modular teaching system is designed to provide you with as much flexibility as possible in an environment that allows each student to learn at their own pace.

Training is conducted via videos, manuals and study guides, with students given the maximum opportunity to practice their skills in the water.

In multiple pool sessions, you will practice scuba skills before heading to the open water for your certification dives.
