The course is divided into three days.
Day one
Check-in
The day starts promptly at 8am
Equipment
Every student is fitted in their gear and the equipment is set up and tuned.
Training
Professional instructors help you hone your skills and sharpen your focus, regardless of your experience. You will be taken through a wide variety of drills and practice routines, supplemented with staff lectures, demonstrations, and reviews of the various aspects of the bucking chute procedure. Every aspect of rodeo will be covered including riding skills, dismounts and techniques.
Riding
You’ll spend the afternoon putting your skills to the test on real livestock. There’s no limit to the number of heads you can ride.
Review and Debriefing
Your day will finish with open ended evening classroom sessions covering all aspects of rodeo. Find out what it takes to be successful in the rodeo business including wisely choosing traveling partners, money management, sponsorships, training and conditioning, and where to go with your talent after you’ve graduated from training school.
Days two and three
The rest of the course is spent improving your technique and building on the skills learned on day one. You can ride as much as you wish, with the opportunity to review your performance with instructors in between each session. Video recordings of your rides will be used as a basis for reviewing your improvement.
There’s no time limit – you can keep riding or rest. Nobody works by the hour and your guides will stay with you until you are finished.
State of the art equipment is used to supplement your riding. You’ll be trained using ‘Il Toro’ the latest and most exceptional bull riding training unit ever built.
