4 day Dude Ranch Adventure, Great Smokey Mountains

Set against spectacular scenery, the dude ranch features its very own Western style town, including a 1200 sq ft dining room, 800 sq ft kitchen, 300 sq ft TV and library room and an upstairs dance room where the live bluegrass band plays. There is also a 500 sq ft saloon with an outside covered deck. 

You'll enjoy great meals from breakfast to supper. Grill Steaks, chicken, turkey, and pork are just a few of the main entrees served each week, complemented by mashed potatoes, sauteed vegetables, homemade breads and delicious desserts. 

This experience can be enjoyed year round.

Youäó»ll enjoy everything a Dude Ranch has to offer during your four day stay including exciting and authentic ranch activities, horseback riding, white water rafting, fishing, and working with cattle on horseback. You don't have to do all of the activities and can enjoy as little or as much as you choose.

Wednesday: On arrival, you√§√≥¬ªll have a chance to explore the facilities and settle in. Dinner is at 6pm with activities organized afterwards.

Thursday: Breakfast is at 8:00am. After breakfast, everyone is assigned a group for the morning corral orientation and rides. The first ride is the blue trail which lasts 45 minutes and takes place by the river on mostly flat terrain. After lunch, most groups will follow the green trail with one group staying back to drive the cattle up. Supper is at 6pm followed by team penning. Team penning is a rodeo game in which three guests try to pen up to 3 cows into the box. You can go from a walk or trot up to a short gallop during team penning, but itäó»s up to you how fast you go. Team penning is the #1 guest favorite activity!

Friday: After breakfast most guests will go on a scenic trail ride. During this time, up to 10 guests will help move the cattle back up to the lower end of the ranch. 

After lunch, there are horseback rides, a cattle drive and then a kids rodeo at 

3:30 pm. After supper, there is a square dance with live musicians for 1 hour.

Saturday : After breakfast, guests can take part in an adrenalin-fuelled whitewater raft trip on the Big Pigeon River (ages 8 and up and weighing more than 60 lbs) or horseback rides. The Big Pigeon trip is only available during high season when water levels permit. After lunch, there are more horseback rides. Also for advanced riders, there is a galloping ride as the last ride of the day. After supper, the bluegrass band starts at 7pm for two hours of great Smoky Mountain music.

Sunday: Breakfast then check out at 10 am.
