Hand built in 1929 from native hardwoods, the 82-foot schooner ‘Shearwater' dates back to a bygone era of yachting. New York City's only floating designated landmark, the ship has its own rich, colorful history. It was requisitioned during World War 2 to become part of the Coast Guard, has circumnavigated the globe and has competed in world yachting events.
Tours take place every Sunday at 4.30pm. Sailing is not weather dependent and wine tasting cruises take place come rain or shine!
