Prepare for the greatest stock car driving experience of your life as you enjoy 20 race-fueled laps at Gateway Motorsports Park, a 1.5 miles super speedway made famous for its high banking and unique turns.
You'll be kitted out in full race gear, before joining other drivers for the pre-race briefing. Listen hard and learn well, for every single piece of information will give you the racing edge. You’ll find out how to perform quick starts, how to corner and draft, and of course how to find the perfect racing line. As you slide behind the wheel of your 500 horse power highly tuned racing car, the butterflies will be fluttering in your stomach and your mouth will be dry. Then it's hard on the gas as you blast off the starting line and suddenly realize you are controlling a car that’s actually competed in the NASCAR Sprint Cup! You will almost feel the power of the car trying to wrestle away from you, but follow all you've learned and tame that beast!
Hear the V8 engine roar as you power around Gateway Motorsports Park and get a taste of what it is like to be a pro racing driver. Feel the excitement of sitting behind the wheel and passing the other drivers on the track. All cars are actual race cars previously used in the NASCAR Nextel Cup, including the Chevrolet Monte Carlos, Pontiac Grand Prix, Ford Taurus and Dodge Charger.
Newly re-opened for the 2012 season, Gateway Motorsports Park is a 1.25 mile oval track that’s a firm favorite with the drivers who race there, thanks to its unique shape and different degrees of banking in each corner. Turns 1 and 2 have characteristics similar to New Hampshire Motor Speedway while Turns 3 and 4 are similar to Phoenix International Raceway and the track’s egg shape mimics the legendary Darlington Raceway.
Drivers must be aged 18 years and over and have a valid driver's licence. All racing suits, helmets and safety equipment are provided.
