On this dream driving experience, you'll spend a day lapping a professional track in a late model Corvette that can do 0-60 in 4.8 seconds. That's faster than a Porsche 933!
Under the direction of professional coaches, you'll get to take a true racing thoroughbred for a spin around a purpose built, high performance track. You'll explore the world of precision handling and high speed driving with the help of accomplished race driving veterans, dedicated to making sure you get the most from the experience
This is a real race car, not a modified street car. In fact, it's one of the fastest cars in use at any racing school today. With a focus on ‘seat time' rather than classroom learning, this full day behind the wheel of a late model Corvette will push your adrenaline to the max and teach you more about driving than you thought possible!
Everything you need for a great day is supplied including driving suits, beverages and even sunscreen. In car cameras are installed in every car so you can re-live your experience with family and friends, time after time. Customers with no experience of driving a manual transmission can be trained on the day for an additional $50.
All cars have large, comfortable cockpits and are among the fastest and best handling school cars presently available in North America. Inside the SCCA safety approved roll cage-protected cockpit you will feel totally comfortable while you are on the track.
This experience is available to enjoy on regular scheduled dates throughout the year.
Itinerary
Classroom
Start with a short classroom session covering car dynamics, driver dynamics, car balance, skid characteristics, safety, basic race rules. Classroom session is kept to a minimum and tuition continues at intervals between actual driving. The aim of the day is to get you out on the track right way.
Preparation for the track
Participants are outfitted with helmets, racing uniforms and assigned to cars.
Morning session
The morning consists of several handling exercises to get you familiar with the cars and the demands of the afternoon lapping sessions.
Driver coaches will guide you through a full program of driving skills as you explore your potential and develop your abilities in a friendly, ‘no pressure’ environment.
Afternoon
During the afternoon, you’ll be lapping the track at near racing speeds in a real Cobra Repliracers. You’ll complete the full track by yourself at your own pace. This experience features more 'in' car track time than most other schools. So you’ll be exhausted – and grinning from ear to ear by the end of it.
Graduation ceremony
Finish your day as you are presented with a certificate of achievement and an 8” x 10” color souvenir photo of you beside your racecar.
Our instructors are there to facilitate not agitate, while you learn at your own rate. No one on our staff is going to put you in an uncomfortable situation in a car or in front of the rest of the class to make a point or scare you into doing something you don't want to do!
