Experience total sensory overload on a breathtaking tandem skydive over beautiful North Carolina. Plunge your mind, body and soul into into an immense panorama of wide open skies and unending 360 degree views as you witness this amazing landscape from a unique bird's eye view.
Give your lungs a treat at 13,000ft as you reach speeds of up to 120 mph, securely fastened to your parachute instructor. Dive through a whole 60 seconds of incredible freefall before your parachute is deployed, leaving you free to drink in the views while your instructor guides you gently down to earth.
Tandem skydiving is the fastest and easiest way to experience the excitement of skydiving. Whether you want to become a qualified parachutist or are just curious to find out if you've got what it takes to step out of a plane at 13,000 feet, we guarantee you'll be grinning from ear to ear!
You must be aged 18 years of age and weigh less than 230 lbs, with height and weight being in proportion. Your training on the day may be shared with other participants but your jump will be one-to-one with a fully qualified skydiver.
You’ll start your day by checking in where you will be assisted as you fill out the necessary paperwork.
At this point, a USPA (United States Parachute Association) instructor will brief you on the equipment and techniques for tandem parachute freefall and landing.
15 Minute Call
When it is your time to jump, you will hear your name called over the PA system and you will be introduced to your Instructor.
Your Instructor will get you kitted out with everything you need to make your skydive. This is also the time that you will be introduced to your Videographer if you have purchased the DVD package.
At the 5 minute call you will board the airplane.
Climbing To Altitude
On the way to exit altitude, your instructor will go over the skydive again, answer any questions you may have, and carry out final checks.
Once you are securely attached to your instructor, the door will be opened and the moment to exit the aircraft will arrive.
If you have chosen the DVD Package, your videographer will now climb outside the aircraft. You and your Instructor will move to the door and, after completing the exit count you practiced on the ground, you will leave the plane.
The freefall portion of your skydive is an exhilarating 60 second journey, traveling at 120 mph during which you and your instructor can perform turning maneuvers. Then, at the appropriate altitude, your instructor will open your parachute.
The Parachute Ride
Once your Instructor has opened your parachute, the freefall is over although the adventure certainly is not. After the speed and rush of freefall, most students describe the canopy ride as "incredibly peaceful".
During the 5 to 6 minutes you will spend under your parachute, you and your Instructor can chat as you fly silently over scenic landscapes and watch other people under canopy before you both land gently back on the airfield where it all began.
After the Skydive
After the jump, you will be assisted out of your gear, and your Instructor will talk with you about the skydive.
If you purchased the DVD Package, the videographer will give you your free photographs and, if time permits, professionally edit your DVD movie.
