This exhilarating helicopter flying lesson puts you in the pilot's seat for a whole 60 minutes of flight time as you experience the thrill of accelerating to over 120 mph at heights of up to 1000 feet. You'll be at the controls of a Schweizer 300, an US Army trainer aircraft, affording superior handling, a more comfortable cockpit and an excellent field of view. The vertical take-off is an incredible sensation and the thrills will continue as your pilot shows you how to move forward, backward, sideways or simply hover in the air.
Throughout the experience, you'll be carrying out all the in flight maneuvers, under expert guidance, as you gaze down on incredible panoramic vistas across the landscape. This adventure includes a 30 minute ground briefing as well as a full hour in the air and is designed to totally immerse you in the world of the helicopter pilot.

This hands on flying lesson showcases the full spectrum of helicopter maneuvers, with you in control. You will interact with the pilot via the headset and be able to guide the helicopter using a dual control system.

Helicopter flying lessons are available to enjoy year round and take place at regular intervals throughout the day. Helicopter flying is weather dependent and may be postponed in adverse conditions. If your lesson is postponed, a mutally convenient alternative date will be scheduled.
Itinerary
- Introduction to your FAA qualified instructor
- Safety briefing
- Get into headphones ready to be briefed on the helicopter's controls
- Your flight starts from the time the engine turns over.
- You will receive tuition throughout your flights
- Take the controls throughout flight and carry out maneuvers under guidance
You will be given headphones so that you can hear conversations between your instructor and air traffic control, and so that you can talk with your instructor. Once in the air, you will be able to take the controls but your pilot will generally undertake the take-off and landing. The helicopter is a remarkable aircraft and will astound you with its versatility.
